As is the case worldwide, airport security around the Caribbean has drastically increased since 2001. As a result, a valid passport and a valid return ticket are now mandatory for all visitors to Barbados. This requirement is regardless of nationality and now includes Americans and Canadians.

All arriving visitors must supply Barbados immigration with the full address of where they will be staying to be allowed entry into the island.
